Temporary Resident Visa
The temporary residence visa (TRV) is a document that Canada stamps in your passport and allows you to travel and enter the country (at the discretion of the immigration officer) upon arrival at a Canadian port of entry.
It is the only Canadian visa that does not require speaking English and/or French, so you can apply for it if you do not speak those languages as a native speaker.
Not everyone needs a TRV to enter Canada (it depends on your nationality); some require an eTA and/or just a passport.

What can you do with a temporary resident visa?
The visitor visa is a legal status that allows you to stay in Canada for up to six months ( after being assessed by an immigration officer at the port of entry).
Plan to immigrate to Canada soon. You might visit the country to experience life here, compare work opportunities in different provinces, immerse yourself in the culture, and find the best places to live.
Once your visitor visa expires, you must return to your home country before you can enter Canada again under the appropriate visa as a permanent or temporary resident (worker or student).
